Norak reservoir is an artificial reservoir created on the Vakhsh river, within the Norak district of Tajikistan. Formed in front of the Norak hydroelectric dam.

Filling of the reservoir took place in 1972. The surface area is 98 km2, water volume is 10.5 km 3, length 70 km, width of 1 km and Average depth of the lake is 107 m. the reservoir Level is in the range of 53 m. It carries out seasonal regulation of the flow of the Vakhsh river. It is used for irrigation of 1 million hectares of fertile lands of Karsh and Kyzyl-Kum steppes, Dangara plateau and other territories. The reservoir is used for shipping. Water discharge is carried out through a tunnel punched in the rock 5 km long. the city of Norak is located Near the dam.
