Iskandarkul

Iskandarkul is located near the northern foot of the Fann mountain complex. This lake owes its name to the well-known commander Alexander the Great, who, according to the legends, allegedly drove here with his large army on the road to India. His eastern name was Iskandar Zulqarnay, which can be translated as Alexander the Two-horned. "Kul" in Tajik means lake. So the name of this lake arose in the heart of the mountains of Tajikistan - Iskandarkul.
