Childukhtaron
In the southern part of Tajikistan there is an ancient place, which received at one time an unusual poetic name - Childukhtaron. Translated, this word means "Valley of the Forty Girls." There is one legend that explains the meaning of these words.
According to ancient history, 40 stone blocks represented one after the other are represented by 40 pretty girls who lived a carefree life. But when the cruel invaders came with the intention of making concubines out of the beautiful women, the girls began to pray to Allah for salvation.
The only salvation they saw was turning into silent blocks of stone. From that moment, the valley is considered an interesting attraction of Tajikistan.
