The largest mosque in Central Asia. The Foundation stone was laid in October 2009. The project of the unique religious building was prepared by architects from Tajikistan and Qatar. The project is estimated at $ 100 million. The project is being created with the financial support of the government of Qatar.
According to the project, developed taking into account the Tajik national and world architecture, the mosque will consist of four minarets with a height of 75 meters each and a 47-meter dome. Also on the territory of the future mosque, located on an area of 12 hectares, it is planned to build premises for prayer, a library, meeting rooms and reception. At the same time on the territory of the mosque will be able to worship about 120 thousand people.
