Kulikalon lake is the second largest lake of the fan mountains, located on the territory of Ayni district of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Western part of the Hissar mountains.  It has 2 tributaries one of which flows from the South, the second from the Eastern side of the Northern tip. The drain is located in the Northern part on the Western side. The channel is connected with several small unnamed lakes in the North-East, East and lake Dushakha in the South-East near the tract Chimtarga located in the great Kulikalon basin. From here the common name “Kulikalon lakes”.

The natural barrier of the Eastern shore are the mountains Gohana which is located the associated channel of lake Zierat and Chukurak. North of lake Chukurak is a camp for climbers “Artuch”. Glaciers lying on the Northern slopes of the Saryob mountains provide additional recharge from the southern side of the lake. The North-Eastern extremity of these mountains act as a barrier to the South-Eastern shore.

Not so long ago, after the Schizothorax fry were released into the lake, and they took root, fish began to live here. In winter, the lake freezes and everything turns into an ice pad. From the point of view of science and history, the lake appeared naturally.
