A hundred meters from the fortress of Kaahka, on the left side of the road, if you get from Ishkashim, there is a Mazar (burial structure, object of pilgrimage) Shohi Mardon. It is a building with a balcony, the ceiling of which is arranged on the model of the Pamir national house (chorkhon). Inside Mazar there are oiled stones and horns of a mountain goat, which testifies to the “sanctity” of this place for the local residents. These attributes of “Holiness” are echoes of ancient pre-Muslim cults and beliefs that never disappeared, but over time acquired a new meaning.
